About The Event

Road to Rodeo Mount Isa will take over Buchanan Park Events Complex with rodeo action starting Saturday afternoon and into the night before transforming into an evening of live entertainment that will rock your socks featuring Jetty Road and Route 33 featuring Brooke Schubert.

This Road to Rodeo event is being created especially for the Mount Isa community and in proud partnership with Mount Isa Mines and Mount Isa City Council. In 2024, Mount Isa Mines will celebrate 100 years of service to Queensland, so we can’t wait to celebrate this special milestone event with the Mount Isa community.

For 65 years, Rodeo has been synonymous with Mount Isa and has played an integral part of the city’s growth and identity. The Mount Isa Mines Rodeo and the Mount Isa Mines Indigenous Rodeo Championships, held each year in the second weekend in August is legendary, drawing record entries and visitors to Mount Isa each year.
