For the second consecutive year, XXXX GOLD will be toasting Mount Isa with the release of a specially marked can created for the 2015 Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo, as well as giving away one of the last trips to XXXX Island.
A carton of the XXXX GOLD Mount Isa Rodeo commemorative cans will be auctioned at the Bell & Moir Toyota Rodeo Ball as part of a charity auction on Saturday, August 1, with all proceeds benefiting Cootharinga, a not-for-profit organisation supporting people with disabilities in North Queensland. A signed 2013 XXXX Maroons State of Origin jersey will also be one of the must-have items up for grabs at the sold out charity event.
A long-time sponsor of the Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo, XXXX GOLD has produced 130 pallets of the commemorative can, which will be sold for a limited time at off-premise retailers stretching from Mount Isa to Townsville, as well as at the rodeo.
Damien Mori, Lion’s Queensland Regional Sales Director said, “The Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo is such an iconic event for the region, so we are delighted to create this specially marked can for rodeo-goers and locals alike to enjoy while they take in all of the action.”
XXXX GOLD will also give away the ultimate trip for four mates to XXXX Island valued at $10,000. Mount Isa Rodeo visitors will have the chance to enter at the event, and anyone who makes a booking through LAST MINUTE TRAVEL DEALS on www.isarodeo.com.au from 17th July – 3rd August will also go in the draw.
Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo Manager, Natalie Flecker paid tribute to XXXX GOLD’s ongoing support of the Mount Isa region and the event, which is the largest rodeo in the southern hemisphere.
“XXXX GOLD’s enduring involvement is invaluable as it helps us to continue to offer this fantastic event to Mount Isa residents and those who travel from further afield year after year to attend.
“We are grateful for the ongoing support of XXXX GOLD and the production of our very own commemorative can. We’re also looking forward to having XXXX GOLD Container Bar back once again, which we know will be a hit with rodeo-goers. It’s something they look forward to each year,” said Flecker.
