The city’s amazing Rodeo spirit will be on show throughout Mount Isa’s business community with the MIGATE Best Dressed Premises competition celebrating 60 years of the Mount Isa Theatrical Society (MITS).
Commerce North West Manager Sue Wicks said registrations were now open for the popular competition, co-ordinated by CNW and proudly sponsored by MIGATE (Mount Isa Group Apprenticeship, Traineeship and Employment Inc).
“Mount Isa is proudly Australia’s rodeo capital and I hope as many businesses as possible get involved in this year’s Best Dressed Premises competition,” said Ms Wicks.
“This is a time to really showcase Mount Isa to visitors as it creates a really great atmosphere and also boosts staff spirits by being part of something so important to the city and community.”
MIGATE Chief Executive Officer Mr Ron Pertovt said the competition was a key part of the city embracing the rodeo in the lead up to next month’s event.
“It is fantastic for visitors to our city, and locals alike to see our local businesses celebrate rodeo, and just as importantly the Mount Isa Theatrical Society’s long history in the Isa through this year’s MIGATE Best Dressed Premises competition,” said Mr Pertovt.
Organisations are invited to get into the spirit of rodeo and dress their premises and staff according to this year’s theme: “It’s Showtime.”
