Celebrations of the 60 year anniversary of the Mount Isa Mines Rodeo will officially start with the glamorous Bell & Moir Toyota Rodeo Arena Ball.
Isa Rodeo Chief Executive Officer Ms Natalie Flecker said following last year’s successful debut, the Bell & Moir Toyota Rodeo Arena Ball will once again be held in the Buchanan Park arena on Saturday, August 3.
“We found our guests loved the location of the ball inside the famous rodeo arena, so it was an easy decision to stage it again in the Buchanan Park arena for the event’s 60 year anniversary,” said Ms Flecker.
“We’ve had an overwhelming response from our local community who want to be part of this special night, a night to celebrate the hard work and achievements of our Rodeo Queen Quest entrants.”
Ms Flecker said last year’s Bell & Moir Toyota Arena Ball was a fabulous evening, and this year’s theme, Diamond Country Luxe would celebrate the 60 year milestone.
“Everyone loves to dress to the theme although we do strongly recommend wearing boots with your evening attire, so you can make the most of the dance floor and live entertainment on the night,” she said.
The ball will be held on Saturday, August 3 from 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start. Tickets are $160 per person, including a delicious three-course meal with paired wines and a welcome drink on arrival.
The highlight of the Bell & Moir Toyota ball is always the crowning of our Rodeo Queen and Charity Queen. This year, we have an incredible SEVEN hard working entrants in this year’s Queen Quest – Aimee Sewell (Mount Isa Police Citizens Youth Club), Allison Nicholson (Mount Isa Community Ensembles Inc), Bron Myers (Mount Isa Base Hospital Auxiliary Inc Cancer Care Unit), Kat Ufer (SES Mount Isa Group), Kate Lovett (North West Queensland Mental Health Network), Kellie Pigliafiori (Royal Flying Doctor Service) and Tony “Tonka” Toholke (This is a Conversation Starter (TIACS) Foundation).
The Isa Rodeo Queen and Isa Rodeo Charity Queen when crowned, will become Rodeo Ambassadors for this year’s event.
