This is Australia’s Richest Rodeo. In fact, it’s the Southern Hemisphere’s largest rodeo and has been running since 1959. We welcome you to join us in our diamond jubliee celebrations in our 60th Year in 2019.
In 2019, we welcome visitors to Mount Isa with a free Isa Street Festival in the CBD, organised by the Mount Isa City Council, on Wednesday, August 8 including a dusk street parade on sunset followed by a free concert.
The Mount Isa Mines Isa Rodeo 2019 kicks off on Thursday morning, August 8, with a half-day “Rodeo Sound Check” of lower division events.
Rodeo competition will be held over the next three days, with live concerts including Birds of Tokyo and Oakwood on 9 August on Wardles Main Stage in the rodeo forecourt, all included in your Friday rodeo pass!

Sunday is finals day, concluding mid afternoon in preparation for the specially ticketed 60th year celebrations, live in the Rodeo Arena on Wardles Stage – Sunday 11 August with “The Voice” John Farnham, Queensland’s very own, Busby Marou, Brad Cox, Blake O’Connor and Dee Jaye Bux.
The event includes concerts, markets, and non-stop rodeo action. The Mount Isa Mines Rotary Rodeo is part of the Australian Professional Rodeo Association’s (APRA) national rodeo circuit and we include eight major rodeo events in the Rodeo Arena including:
